It Hurts
[i][i]It hurts to be wrong
the villain of the story
alone, completely desolate
in a valley of human beings
It hurts to fear the outside
looking for the cold brown eyes
uncaring kiss goodbye
by the boy you’ve always loved
That word he uses, easy
it’s undeniable, too true
your legs blossomed open to his fingers
Just like he knew you would
Just like you always do
It hurts to see the ghosts
the one soul you could spend eternity with
to enter an empty room
missing the dirty plates she never took to the kitchen
seeing the blurry outline
just a blonde girl on her phone
before she smiles and her face lights up with welcome
I miss welcome
I miss feeling like I belong
somewhere
