Freedom – A Poem

We all have the right to be free
We all the right to choose freedom

We all have the right to be
And feel
And live
And love

So what does it mean to be free?

For some it means devotion...and servitude
For some it means responsibility and leadership
For some - it means lying in the green fields and smelling the flowers
For some - it means being solitary and wild

We may all create the meaning of freedom - we all have that right too

I can be free in a prison cell
I can choose joy
I can choose happiness
I can choose freedom

You have the right to be free
To live as you wish
To do as you please

And I have the right to be free - without you
