Greenish
Impatiently sulking through dismal days
A wretched state of dour contemplation
Seeing only drab shades of darkest grays
Caged in cyclical self-lamentation
Imprisoned in humankind’s austere walls
Consoled by a primitive ambition
Pacing madly about through endless halls
The banality of repetition
Yet the labyrinth ends in autumn light
The purpose of life, so misunderstood
Emerging at last from eternal night
Traipsing alone through this primeval wood
I lie tranquil, by myself in the trees
Dreaming on needles in cool autumn breeze
A wretched state of dour contemplation
Seeing only drab shades of darkest grays
Caged in cyclical self-lamentation
Imprisoned in humankind’s austere walls
Consoled by a primitive ambition
Pacing madly about through endless halls
The banality of repetition
Yet the labyrinth ends in autumn light
The purpose of life, so misunderstood
Emerging at last from eternal night
Traipsing alone through this primeval wood
I lie tranquil, by myself in the trees
Dreaming on needles in cool autumn breeze
