Fire and Rain
Drenched from rain
standing in a puddle
with fire in my heart
I crave to be with him
as he waits for me lovingly
standing in a puddle
with fire in my heart
I crave to be with him
as he waits for me lovingly

Are you standing outside his
house in this rain-storm TL?
He'd better open-up quickly
and let you in before some
other lucky guy gets to you
first.
I enjoyed this: it was short
but vivid.
Thanks for this gem... Pan

I like the image...works well with the poem. I thought this was a follow-up of "Insane Asylum." JT wrote "Fire & Rain" while in an asylum...after a fellow patient and friend died.

A short write but puts much in the imagination. Sum it up as warmth at the end of the cold tunnel.

The one thing you consistently do is
express a heart full of passion, which I love
n even though this is short, it ain't short on passion! :)
Nicely done TL. :)

Yin and yang, light and dark, happiness and sorrow, love and heartbreak, passion and...unrequited passion. This poem speaks all of these things in so few words. Very much enjoyed!
