My Dream to skate

To be a pro skateboarder was my dream
Living the high life with friends on the team
I remember my 50-50 on a handrail, damn that was mean
Travel from city to city, a contest or two
Celebrate after the show with my boys and a brew
Flirting with girls to get them home
Groupies hardcore that loved to bone
I could of had no worries except where next ill skate
But little did I know, that wasn't my fate
I took a turn for the worse and smashed my head
Skate park to ambulance and woke up in a hospital bed
The biggest brain injury of my life breaking three blood cells
When the doctor said I couldn't skate anymore, I said "go to hell"
I was determined to live out my dream and be the best
Not a reality for me, not even with plenty of rest
My brain is too fragile now, I'm reminded by the twitch in my neck
From left to right, sometimes hearing a click
I still love the sport even if all I can do is cruise
Well, it's better than having another brain bruise
I will never forget the experience I had
Living the dream in good times, and in bad
