love i didnt have to give
yes I loved you yes I cared
you knew cause I was always there
through the smiles and through the pain
I took your hurt I took your shame
I never let you ride alone
for you my king id give my throne
I gave my heart I showed my soul
you opened up to me
told me all about your past yet it was so easy to leave
those three perfect words 'I love you' faded from your lips
all the sudden I found my self lost without your kiss
it hurts to think I showed you love I didn't even have to give
it hurts to you I was an item, guess I wasn't worth the bid
you really did a number on me
the words you said will always haunt me
but in my heart I know youll stay
cause you were never just a thing
I should prolly hate you, drag your name all through the dirt
but I know that I would never cause id rather die than see you hurt
so all the best im wishing you, youre always in my prayers
despite all the hurt you've caused you know that imma always care
you knew cause I was always there
through the smiles and through the pain
I took your hurt I took your shame
I never let you ride alone
for you my king id give my throne
I gave my heart I showed my soul
you opened up to me
told me all about your past yet it was so easy to leave
those three perfect words 'I love you' faded from your lips
all the sudden I found my self lost without your kiss
it hurts to think I showed you love I didn't even have to give
