This Dark World
Behind this smiling mask
Lives a broken soul,
Too afraid to show true emotion.
Because today we live in a world
Where normal is a synonym for hate.
So when I’m told that I’m not normal it feels great,
It used to hurt but maybe normal isn’t my fate.
When I look around I see a dark world
Where happiness torments the abnormal like me,
Because in this world happiness is tragedy
If making one person happy puts another in agony,
Then being unhappy sounds a lot better to me.
Even though it's making me fall apart,
At least I know that I still have a heart.
Unlike people in this world today
Who will laugh if you’re retarded or gay,
But we’ll be the ones laughing on judgment day
Because they’re the ones with a heavy price to pay
