THE FLIP SIDE
She said she loved the fall
The rain on the window
The long walks in the forest
The blankets by candlelight
She forgot to mention
The water curtain was to hide
That she only had the fireplace
To keep her warm inside
The rain on the window
The long walks in the forest
The blankets by candlelight
She forgot to mention
The water curtain was to hide
That she only had the fireplace
To keep her warm inside

O..this piece just somehow pierced my heart...the twist in the conclusion is like a serrated shard of glass.
I truly appreciate the contrast in the emotions of this piece---the joy that is seemingly soo apparent on the surface, only hides the sadness. and the loneliness, within.
(perhaps, the 'water curtain'...her tears, and only the empty fire place--without the flames of love to warm the 'emptiness' inside her.)
Creatively Crafted! A lovely, poem, my Friend!
