The World is my Judge
For the past three years I've sought
To live without people on my back
Or down my throat for things I lack
My entire life I've been taught
Things I now distrust and question
Now I try to live to my own discretion
I can't change the people around me
It's a joke to think that I could
And a debate as to whether I should
It's a constant battle, me against them
I rock the wagon, the rut they're in
It's a deadlock contest, I never win
Should I just lay down and surrender?
Ha! No, it's a war worth being fought
But the world is my judge, whether I like it or not
To live without people on my back
Or down my throat for things I lack
My entire life I've been taught
Things I now distrust and question
Now I try to live to my own discretion
I can't change the people around me
It's a joke to think that I could
And a debate as to whether I should
It's a constant battle, me against them
I rock the wagon, the rut they're in
It's a deadlock contest, I never win
Should I just lay down and surrender?
Ha! No, it's a war worth being fought
But the world is my judge, whether I like it or not
