You and me
As you claw with your might,
At fissured skin -
You get inside me.
A spiteful rumour,
I eventually crack -
You paralyse me.
Like the darting tongue,
When I’m held captive -
You civilize me.
Bound naked and gagged
As you offer yourself -
You hypnotise me
A clenched fist to shouting,
The innocence gone,
From what happened that night -we both bled
As the fabric we took,
And the feelings we stole,
In our race to hurt first,
Us both hooked.
Like my sunshine moment,
And your head held high -
I visualise you.
A fly’s life of five years,
In your web -
I memorise you.
Like words angels blaspheme,
And tears without names -
I normalise you.
Legs taut, sinews spoilt,
Blood -
I glamorise you
I’m sure you were dancing,
But you said with a girl,
And from the things that we said - we both bled,
As the fabric we took
And the feelings we stole
In our race to hurt first,
Us both hooked.
At fissured skin -
You get inside me.
A spiteful rumour,
I eventually crack -
You paralyse me.
Like the darting tongue,
When I’m held captive -
You civilize me.
Bound naked and gagged
As you offer yourself -
You hypnotise me
A clenched fist to shouting,
The innocence gone,
From what happened that night -we both bled

And the feelings we stole,
In our race to hurt first,
