Haunted
My heart feels like the softest flower
There’s something beating within
It’s as subtle as a raindrop in a thunder shower
It’s a scary feeling
It’s as though an eye is watching me
Yet no one looks my way
It’s as though my heart is frozen
And I don’t even know why
Why does my heart beat so fast
When there seems to be no cause
Why do I feel so glad
When my pain can’t get any worse
It’s not a simple shallow feeling
It’s not an easy thought
Though I find that I am dealing
My every breath is caught
The walls are closing in on me
The roof is crumbling down
The floor is disappearing
I’m trying not to drown
There’s something beating within
It’s as subtle as a raindrop in a thunder shower
It’s a scary feeling
It’s as though an eye is watching me
Yet no one looks my way
It’s as though my heart is frozen
And I don’t even know why
Why does my heart beat so fast
When there seems to be no cause
Why do I feel so glad
When my pain can’t get any worse
It’s not a simple shallow feeling
It’s not an easy thought
Though I find that I am dealing
My every breath is caught
The walls are closing in on me
The roof is crumbling down
The floor is disappearing
I’m trying not to drown
