Blind Man
Blind man
Lead the way
An entire people
Watch the signs of the times
They watch the leaves fall
And hear a distant wind
Howl in the night
And they ascertain travails
What fools!
They are a people who have looked past reality
They see what they will
And are a choir of one melody
It is sung over
And over
And over
Blind man
Lead the way
You see more than you let on
You hear the frailty
Of these who are daily ravaged
By their own stupidity
Stupidity caused by ignorance
Never bliss
They are put under their own spell
And look at you
Oh blind man
With disdain
And mocking pity
Blind man!
Hear me now!
Throw your cane away
Stand up and lead the way
We need new vision
And you are so full inside
Though your eyes do not see
They reveal your wisdom
Blind man
Lead the way
Save us from ourselves
Lead the way
An entire people
Watch the signs of the times
They watch the leaves fall
And hear a distant wind
Howl in the night
And they ascertain travails
What fools!
They are a people who have looked past reality
They see what they will
And are a choir of one melody
It is sung over
And over
And over
Blind man
Lead the way
You see more than you let on
You hear the frailty
Of these who are daily ravaged
By their own stupidity
Stupidity caused by ignorance
Never bliss
They are put under their own spell
And look at you
Oh blind man
With disdain
And mocking pity
Blind man!
Hear me now!
Throw your cane away
Stand up and lead the way
We need new vision
And you are so full inside
Though your eyes do not see
They reveal your wisdom
Blind man
Lead the way
Save us from ourselves
