Waves and Seasons
Life comes in seasons
And it comes in waves.
Some of those waves surge in boldly
Aggressively taking us over
Filling our thirsty lungs with water and sending us
Screaming
Swirling
Sinking
Towards the rocky sea bottom.
Other waves roll in
And lift us up above the horizon
Until the stars are bigger than our struggles
And all our dreams are hand drawn by God
And well within His limitless reach
His redemption allows us new perspectives to see from
And the ability to appreciate what we have escaped.
Just as the waves flow
And the seasons change
So will the circumstances of our existence
Time never stands still or remains the same
Have patience in pain
Long isn't synonymous with eternal
Look up and see the leaves are changing color
And there seems to be a calming of the sea
God is holding you in his hands
Take comfort and believe
That Jesus Christ died to make us all free.
And it comes in waves.
Some of those waves surge in boldly
Aggressively taking us over
Filling our thirsty lungs with water and sending us
Screaming
Swirling
Sinking
Towards the rocky sea bottom.
Other waves roll in
And lift us up above the horizon
Until the stars are bigger than our struggles
And all our dreams are hand drawn by God
And well within His limitless reach
His redemption allows us new perspectives to see from
And the ability to appreciate what we have escaped.
Just as the waves flow
And the seasons change
So will the circumstances of our existence
Time never stands still or remains the same
Have patience in pain
Long isn't synonymous with eternal
Look up and see the leaves are changing color
And there seems to be a calming of the sea
God is holding you in his hands
Take comfort and believe
That Jesus Christ died to make us all free.
