How to Dehumanize
I idolize
I will put you on a pedestal
the blueprints are solid but i'm building you
up on sinking sand
I will fancy you a savior
dream you a saint
I will swear that I know you can sin like the best of
them
but I will put you on a pedestal.
I will pretend the cracks in the mold are just
"signs of character"
edginess.
jagged.
I will try to caress your edges
fool myself into thinking my fingertips are sandpaper
I will draw red.
My words will rip you from your throne
bring down the mountain of you...

He is only smiling because he is disillusioned.
He thinks reality is hell.
Do not fall for the philosopher who loves reason more than sanity.
He seeks connection but loneliness lurks in his soul.
Isolation spreads like tuberculosis.
Do not fall for the man who tries to sell you his heart.
He sells things for a living. He is counting down the tragic days
until he hits rock bottom and must sell...

Discontented Late Night Thoughts
I feel like there is some secret to normality that my parents forgot to share with me. While I was watching the Muppets and fearing imperfection, were other kids being encoded with the things which tell them it's okay to fuck up? Were other kids learning how to let loose and lose control? While I was tapping it out to Bread were other kids learning the rhythm of hip hop when they were 8 years old? Were they learning conformity while I was learning to scream?
I feel like my parents forgot to teach me the secret on how to capture contentedness. My whole life has been a series of misplaced...

Caffeinated Reflections
I have a mind that echoes with white noise and TV snow clogs my veins
Coffee brings out the chaos in the pit of my stomach
I know that's it more than chemical reactions in my brain
The anxiety and frustration just becomes a little more intense
and procrastination is more difficult to sustain
as demons work their way into my lungs, trying to claw through tissue
like sunshine slashes through rain.
Contentedness is the 30 second interlude to my rhythm-less symphony
And happiness is something I've felt more often than I've ever been allowed to share ...

When did duct tape and lips sewn shut become so fashionable?
Or is it just another trait encoded into DNA, unraveling as we age
and disguising itself as a trend so that we don't shrivel under the oppressiveness of silence?
It's said that, "in the land of the blind, the one eyed man is king" but it's not our eyes that are closed.

it matches your crystalline eyes
with its depth.
Your lips are the covers of a book
and I want to wind my way between them;
I'm sure there's a whole new world inside
Your chin is like sandpaper
scratching my neck and sending
shivers down my spine
Your voice is warm honey
dripping down my throat
nevermind the bee stings
Baby,
I'm the pun
You're the punchline
We're two matching puzzle pieces
You complete me
Or something
it matches your crystalline eyes

Watch them as they pool into the concrete and slip away into a grate of normality.
Wash them away with your glorious imagination
You cannot be summed up or symbolized by a handful of letters
and a Doctor's note
Do not bind yourself in a straight-jacket of gender roles
Let your leather jacket zip you tight in a ball gown
Your identity doesn't always have to be remedied or medicated
You cannot be defined by a dictionary or measured by
