Gum and cigarette challenge by miss indie rose
He smelt of gum and cigarettes
finger tips stained yellow
and his tooth hangs on by a single root
he shed his skin
and put his bones to work
to stay clean and safe
to end up with cancer anyway
but he cares not for what we think
or how and when he will die
or for our perceived notion of "what a man should be"
hanging his head low
he can't look into the eyes of the alive
can you blame him?
