Prayer of The Martyr
Give me the strength to tell the people I love that I need them
Give me the strength to give my all into everything I touch and see
Give me the strength to live as though today is the last day here
Give me the strength to consume all the pain and every tear
Let me be the light that guides the way
Let me be the night that never strays
Let me be the mist that never lifts
Let me be the ashes that you sift through
Everything I hold within me is essential to the path I have chosen
Every scar reminds me to live, Every heartbeat reminds me to give
Every drop of blood pushes me to the ground, There are thousands begging to be found
Everything I hold within me is essential in providing sanctuary to the unholy and broken
Though my skin may be broken, My blood still flows and my heart still beats
Though my skin may be scarred, My flesh still protects and my eyes still seek
Though my legs may be broken, My feet still move and my knees remain strong
Though my hands may be scarred, My fingers still work and my bones remain intact
I will make you proud, father, with every second that ticks by
I will make you proud, mother, with every heart that I save
I will make you proud, sister, with every high that I resist
I will make you proud, love, with every miracle that I perform

Though my skin may be scarred, My flesh still protects and my eyes still seek
Though my legs may be broken, My feet still move and my knees remain strong
Though my hands may be scarred, My fingers still work and my bones remain intact
I will make you proud, father, with every second that ticks by
