Water and Sand
I'd like to say I'm like water
Though that would be a lie
Mostly I have to admit
I am simply a passerby
I am the sand under the water
Beaten until it breaks
Soft and easy to manipulate
So very important
For sand is not naive
It sways relaxed
Water crashing above
It moves both stubborn and willing
Pain only softens the blows
Creates a smoothness
For other's to walk upon
And this is my role
I am sand
There to help others
To take what water gives
Create experience through experience
Though that would be a lie
Mostly I have to admit
I am simply a passerby
I am the sand under the water
Beaten until it breaks
Soft and easy to manipulate
So very important
For sand is not naive
It sways relaxed
Water crashing above
It moves both stubborn and willing
Pain only softens the blows
Creates a smoothness
For other's to walk upon
And this is my role
I am sand
There to help others
To take what water gives
Create experience through experience
