Happy Father's Day

To my Dad and others I'd like to send
Happy Father's Day to the Real Fathers/ Real Men

I applaud and salute you for all you are doing
as a father myself, I'm more than a little aware
of the challenges we face
though because, it is such a challenge that's why
not everyone can run this race
we know that many men are qualified
to be 'sperm donors' so what's the big deal?
it doesn't take A MAN to acheive that status,
even teens can pretend 'on the real'

A 'real father...'
is there to help nurture, guide, protect, and teach
his offspring
showing them how to love, and show respect, desire,
and acheive in this
'life thing'
A 'real father...'
disciplines for times when necessary,  and with a gentleness
feeds them a  love unbounded,  spiritually grateful to be vulnerable
to our Most Highness...

A 'real father' gives his children time
so precious to build memories with
listening to their thoughts and smiling
as he's marveling at God's Given Gift
A 'real father' will not always do everything right,
because there's no handbook
but quiet as it's kept? he can own up to them
then move on without a second look...

So for the Real Fathers out there, and I just hope
and pray we number in the many
Happy Father's Day to you,
and my wish for more to come along is plenty!
