Dali's stepchildren ~ w.BlackVelvetRose

the ages have passed through beaucoup breezes,
transposed with the sands of time,
drown in the waters of Neptune,
and surrounded by an arboretum of pine.

the sky is ablaze with pale light as the
North-star and her sisters scintillate
illuminating my frail meandering path through
these ancient dreams, ancient times, and ancient lands.

autumn's fire slumbers upon the Meridian woods
with licking flames upon leaves of gold.
my eyes fondle this infinite lusciousness,
the honey-oak surreality of this land.

as upon a magic carpet, we sail
above enchanted fantasyscapes,
imagination conscripted by nacient beauty,
too profound for the ken of mere man and woman.

out of comedy and drama, we hasten to scribe
a portrait of spectacle that cannot be interpreted.
are we orphans of propriety, who indulge exotic
potions, to expand our horizon, embellish our eyes?

by extraordinary grace, we might linger a moment
here: a place beyond anime', beyond dreams,
where maidens ride on the backs of dragons,
and love is, perhaps, not a torturous thing...
