Cry
Is it okay if I cry?
I always hold them back
Always controlling my eyes
Smile at everyone around
So they'll believe my lies.
But it doesn't last forever
Breaks when I'm alone
My sobs drag through
My skin, my flesh and bone.
I'm just so sad, so hurt
I give up the fight
You may think it's childish
But I cry almost every night.
I used to always ask
Whenever I couldn't keep it in
Because crying is weakness
And weakness is a sin.
Hurry, give me and answer
Before the tears fall by
Just one word is fine
Is it okay if I cry?

crying heals the soul and cleans the wounds. crying is never a weakness at least in my eyes... and they cry a lot

Thank you very much. Your sentiments are much appreciated. Though even now I prefer not to cry. For me, such powerful emotion can be used as equally powerful strength if it is stored inside.
