Heat of May

By Souladareatease and Grace

SOUL:
Persephone calls
as I melt within Her voice
donning my fig leaf

GRACE:

Light of sun in May
Falling leaves in sunlit haze
Shy, my eyes on you

SOUL:
O thee of May Day
Hear my distressed call for You
my ears perk for song

GRACE:
Skies so bright, wind blows
Lilies look to the sky
A haiku for you

SOUL:
spring wakes from breezed sleep
singing pleas such heat She brings
like the cool coo stream

GRACE:

Falling rain singing
Cool the wind from the mountains
Heart’s warmth throbs here, too

SOUL:

soon summer begins
forever kisses your sun
heated hugs loved One

GRACE:
Summer rain falling
Raining on bougainvillea
Hands clasped, lover’s walk

SOUL:
summer laced we sing
yodelling in perfumed wood
while paths embrace Love

GRACE:
Embrace the heat of May
Mountain clouds sharing shades here
And visions of  home.

*This is Haiku-chat, that may have departed from the traditional. This is an experimental attempt.*
