One simple moment
Where do you go when a heart beats so slowly?
Do you still follow petals along the same road home?
And along the way find there will be no sign of warm smiles
As your burning feet slowly carry you there toward reminders
stumbling across those fields that stretch for a hundred miles
what will you find at the shallow end of a broken-down wish?
where does the road end when the heart bleeds out
when no-one else feels this way, what do I shout?
how long will it take not to hear this sound
or break free and fall toward earth
across your barren ground
for how long bound?
Scared of a friend
Waiting for an end
Standing still once more
Forgetting what I am looking for
Slipping farther into the back of my mind
Unable or disregarding the moments which remind
That all could be well and that anyone else could be an angel
Where should we go to remember that loneliness is just another word?
Do you still follow petals along the same road home?
And along the way find there will be no sign of warm smiles
As your burning feet slowly carry you there toward reminders
stumbling across those fields that stretch for a hundred miles
what will you find at the shallow end of a broken-down wish?
where does the road end when the heart bleeds out
when no-one else feels this way, what do I shout?
how long will it take not to hear this sound
or break free and fall toward earth
across your barren ground
for how long bound?
Scared of a friend

Forgetting what I am looking for
