A secret
Her friend said to her
Oh pray tell me why
You have a glow today
And a glint in your eye
A spring in your step
Oh please do tell
It has been a while
Since you looked so well
It’s not that long
Since you seemed so sad
Even though you said
'I’m not too bad'
Now your lips are sealed
You don't say a thing
Oh please confess
It can’t be a sin
She said to her friend
I have a secret
I really can’t tell
Just be my friend
And wish me well
I hope that one day
That people learn
That it’s not bad
This thing I yearn
It’s even better
When you can share
With a mutual bond
Nothing compares
Oh pray tell me why
You have a glow today
And a glint in your eye
A spring in your step
Oh please do tell
It has been a while
Since you looked so well
It’s not that long
Since you seemed so sad
Even though you said
'I’m not too bad'
Now your lips are sealed
You don't say a thing
Oh please confess
It can’t be a sin
She said to her friend
I have a secret
I really can’t tell
Just be my friend
And wish me well
I hope that one day
That people learn
That it’s not bad
This thing I yearn
It’s even better
When you can share
With a mutual bond
Nothing compares
