in my throat, can't imagine how one ever gets past this

hear a backfire of a car or whatever he would take cover
under a table n tell everyone to get down

My sweet I am deeply sorry for the fear your dad, a vet,inspired. Children should never have to fear their parents,ever. Sadly I am guilty of the same thing, scaring my kids, thank you for reading my friend.

I love how this ink can be interpreted beyond the obvious plight, Red! The battle with life, with others, with change, with Country, etc....
We have our personal battles within to fight that remains 'out of site', yet we stand in the line of fire. :)
