DAWNRISE SONG
outside
this room
dawn spreads
softly
on dewy
grass
where last night s
silver moonlight
danced
in silent splendor
shedding freely
its seductive
luminous light
through night s
receptive
tranquil still
now as sun
returns again
ascending slowly
beyond my sight
i too slowly
rise up from
the distance
of my quickly
fading dreams
as gold light
fills and illumines
each crystalline drop
of night born
diamond dew
like countless
scattered
precious jewels
symbolic of
brief promises
of fresh renewal
and new
beginnings
still yet
themselves
to come
wherein
even before
they do
or can
it seems
i hear some
faint sweet song
of ancestor s
long forgotten
calling
their haunting
melodies echo on
so deep within
my bones
so familiar
to my soul
their resonance
interweaves
in sync
with my resting
heartbeat
tugging like
some restless
tide
at the very core
of my
open being
just as each
full moon
pulls and tugs
at sea tides
to recede
so far from
shores they know
so too each
new day s sun s
passing orb
tugs and pulls
at mine
to help me
find my way
back home
to consciously
recall
that i am
one with all
and so i
heed its
inner call
surprised
to find upon
awakening
up from
the distance
of my quickly
fading dreams
that i am
still humming
the circular
refrain
in the haunting
melodies of
some faint
sweet song
of ancestor s
long forgotten
spirits calling
to help me
find my way
back home
far beyond
outside this room
where dawn
spreads softly
on dewy grass
and last night s
silver moonlight
danced
in silent splendor
shedding freely
it s seductive light
through night s
receptive
tranquil still
where sun now
slowly returns again
to fill and
illumine each
crystalline drop
of night born
diamond dew
with it s touch
of golden light
like countless
scattered
precious jewels
symbolic of
brief promises
of fresh renewal
and new
beginnings
hopefully still
yet to
come
