A Friend Have I

A friend have I who listens not.
Especially when it counts,
She asks me for my opinion,
But still will she go pounce.

I tell her of what she should do,
Point her in the right direction,
But still she listens not to me,
For she listens not to reason.

A player is he who has ensnared thee,
Who has captured your little heart,
I tell you he's no good for you,
That he'll only tare you appart.

He's cheated before on another girl,
He will cheat again tis true,
I'll tell you again, I've told you before,
Hes not the right guy for you.

He doesn't care about the real you,
He just wants you under his blankets,
He sees you are weak and easy to fool,
And you are just willing to let him.

So just like all the girls before,
And all the ones that will follow,
He'll use you till there's someone new,
And you know the rest that will follow.

Please listen to me ,I know what im saying,
I don't want to see you get hurt,
But I know that you, like most all girls do,
Must fall from a bad love affair .

I hope that you know I'm here for you,
I'll be here to help pick up your pieces,
Untill then I'll stand back and I'll watch,
