these are words on the outside, does that compel you?
in the east
i am salvaging flesh
of mankind, to eat.
in the west
i am met by the men
who are anything but kind
and as they unwind
i re-.
in the north
i am just who i am
and in the south
i am hot.
in the east
i am what is behind the cupboard door
below the sink.
in the west
i am met by the women
who are everything but blind
and as they came to find,
i-.
in the north
i'm still just who i am
and in the south
it's still hot.
so when i left the east
i buried all conjoining feasts
so when i met the twins
in the west
they laughed.
and of coarse
i will never leave the north
i can make compact doors
out of blocks of ice
and i've never spent much time in the south
so when i left
i couldn't think of a snappy enough last sentence
damn.
