Underland
Upon closing my eyes
I began dreaming
And with dreaming-came believing
I was swept away
Opening my eyes to a new day
In the world of Underland
Here I began to understand
The magical twists
And turns of a land
As lovely as it was twisted
My perspective shifted
The world was a riot of colors and smoke
And a place where animals spoke
My mind-ensnared in dreams
Ingnored my sanity's scream
Voices whispered,drawing me in
If this land is so wrong
Then let me continue to sin
My guides were the warped versions
Of their Waking World selves
This land was a world of the night
And everything seemed perfectly alright
The monsters of my dreams
Replaced those of the Waking World
And I-The broken girl
Became a monster in herself
For as lovely as this world was
Everything did not do as is does
Here in the Waking World
And as the sun rose once again
And daytime set in
I became aware
Of a world
That was not my lovely
Twisted dreamland
The real world replaced
Those monsters with lovely faces
Underland was a dreamland
One of my nightmare's making
And my soul is shaking
With wanting
Of this lovely, land of the night
With the death of the light
I will go back
So I can see again
My lovely,lonely
Underland
I began dreaming
And with dreaming-came believing
I was swept away
Opening my eyes to a new day
In the world of Underland
Here I began to understand
The magical twists
And turns of a land
As lovely as it was twisted
