Fading Innocence
An innocent child gazes at the world,
wonder and admiration in his eyes.
Dreaming of hope and love,
things one will cherish.
A song of woe we sing,
the innocent child is no more.
Pin me to the floor with evil intentions
I scream a terrified cry.. I won't struggle.
Realization sets in please let me die..
Perhaps this is just a dream
further within I retreat...
As you penetrate me with your vile acts
the innocent child withers and dies.
I am forever unclean and tainted
I reek of petulance and putrid flesh.
You pulled me down into darkness
You turn your back,
you walk away never again.
Spiraling to the ground below
like Autumn leaves falling
waking up to your sound again
a harmless joke they say
why then do I feel so violated ?
wonder and admiration in his eyes.
Dreaming of hope and love,
things one will cherish.
A song of woe we sing,
the innocent child is no more.
Pin me to the floor with evil intentions
I scream a terrified cry.. I won't struggle.
Realization sets in please let me die..
Perhaps this is just a dream
further within I retreat...
As you penetrate me with your vile acts
the innocent child withers and dies.
I am forever unclean and tainted
I reek of petulance and putrid flesh.
You pulled me down into darkness
You turn your back,
you walk away never again.
Spiraling to the ground below
like Autumn leaves falling
waking up to your sound again
a harmless joke they say
why then do I feel so violated ?
