I Have Sinned

I have wronged and i have sinned
I have lost respect from deep within
My mortal mistake lost thought of mind
Consequences to pay the brain i must find
For soul whose point is sharp as pin

I acted a shadow as cast by brim
Now i sit in dirt with knee on chin
Gnashing on broken glass my teeth grind
Because i have sinned

like Adam I took from Eve the forbidden
Immediate shame no pleasure or grin
To taste the bitter layer of rind
From this i must learn to be divine
For now i crawl without a limb
All because i have sinned
