my father was a christian and my mother was a pagen
so now i'm praying to the earth
and lighting color corrected candles
for god
that someone else out there
might have this problem
too.

If your father was a Christian - how do you define Christianity? If your mother was a Pagan - how do you define it? Intermarriage is at its peak in society. In the 1940s a marriage between a Protestant and a Catholic was a no-no. I was raised to only marry in my faith. Marrying within your faith is no promise of marital happiness. Did your parents raise you in any faith? Are you looking for spirituality?
You have raised many interesting questions in your short poem. This might be the springboard to exploring further spiritual issues.

Actually, this poem works on a couple of levels.on the surface there is a humor to it , subtle enough so as not to overwhelm which is a nice touch.
One could easily read.a more.seriois tone though without too.much digging, again a nice touch.
Pretty impressed with this miss Spacey . Good.show.

I've always enjoyed the snippets best. Something in a short piece of writing has such power, and this is no exception. Very nice write.

What I like is that you have used a rather complicated theme which you have "un-complicated"
This is rock and roll, Id say
(ahm, the new version of Patti Smith maybe?)

Nice title. We all do have those "problems." But I prefer to call them "mysteries," if that's ok. So almost everything is a "mystery," except your poem, which is lovely, but raises more questions than it answers: which it is supposed to do, right? Remarkable job.

eye disagree with all of the above:
eye disagree wit all of every thing just for Fun:
eye have no point of view At All....in pointed viewing, one is liable to lose any eye, or, lose someone else's'eye.....it'd be fckn'orrible to loose an eye over 'a point-of-view', or n'ailing down some silly o'pinion...so pleas, never play wit points, nails, hammers,Grandma's guncollection, etc....y'know what 'I'mean, surely --
&eye love yr pithy little poom. honest i'do.
