Image for the poem On the Edge

On the Edge

On this ledge,
barely
on this edge

Our love
a hedge
against
our free fall
mayhem
revelries.

If we should fall
and hear that call
that hearts
are bound to
lease
unleashed
against the conic
time filled life,
then let our
crash
feel no great dash
in that who
we were together
was a slow sub talk
lapsed and cantilevered
above
the city lights
in that country
of our dreams.
