Desert wind
Picks up her hair,
Desert sand
Erodes her cares.
Desert sky
So open and clear,
Desert Mountains
Stand against her fears.
Desert heat
Caresses her skin,
Desert tales
Persuades a grin.
Desert way
Leaves all revealed,
Desert symphony
Leaves wounds healed.
Desert place
With dusting swirls,
Desert contentment
For the desert girl.

Thank you. I visited my grandfather in Arizona for the first time. It was way north and absolutely beautiful. I don't think I could live there, but I enjoyed the open beauty of the expansive space.

Ahh, sounds like a pleasant experience. I'm sure it is a fond memory for both your grandpa and yourself. Captured that scene vividly on here. Oh by the way, does this sound at all familiar? And all I want to do is to float in the river so free...?
