Song of Silence

There's a place in me where the winds blow cold,
And the harsh tang of regret never grows old.

There's anger about, and demons grow stout on the fears within me,
And plenty they know on how to make me tremble at what I see.

Grey, dead trees stand decomposing and bare.
Blank looks all around, not making a sound, at you they just stare.

A river of Sadness pours out our hearts,
As a lake of Madness touches it's end while it itself starts.

A broken heart never truly mends,
Just like a dog with sheep, it cannot tend.

Love is not within our sight,
The future is not looking very bright.

Our minds, our hearts, our souls cry out,
In unison of pain and hurt, they shout.

Though neither sound, nor noise was made,
The agony wouldn't take the leave we bade.

We drown in our sorrows, can't decompose in peace.
The demons have seen to it that our torture will never cease.

It forever exists as eternal violence,
The sweet and sultry Song of Silence.

The season of our hearts are changing,
They're singing, humming, slowly warming.

The mood is now not depressed, or melancholy.
You could go as far as hopeful, or jolly.

There, in the distance, is a light.
Always we hold it within our sight.

Grab this shred of hope, and hold it forever,
Our bond with it, they can not severe.

The trees are alive and growing leaves.
Birds are chirping with the gentle summer breeze.

Oh, the joy, and wonderful sounds,
They give us the strength to beat fear to the ground.

The demons have lost their control over us,
So, flee our hearts, they know they must.

The bond and love that marriage is bound to bring,
Is everything you give me as I put on your ring.

Who knew we would grasp the warmth of love together,
And in the end, feel closer, and better.

Maybe the sweet and sultry Song of Silence,
Isn't, after all, made of so much violence.
