You are in my mind
The wind gave me today the smell of your beautiful hair.
I can feel it tonight. The smell is in my mind.
The sun gave me today the look of your smile.
I can see it tonight. The smile is in my eyes.
The rain gave me today the memory of your tears.
I can see them tonight. They are in my mind.
You are so far, but you are so close to me now.
I feel you, I smell you, I see you, I touch you.
You are in my mind.

Experience in poetry is not as significant as one thinks. I consider a poem I wrote 40years ago to be my best. You write well,don't do yourself down . . . .leave that for others.
