Somebody, Anybody , Save Me

Reminiscing on my past
you'd think that I'd smile
about all I've survived through
But I beat myself up
and I cry every night
asking God, what shall I do ?
Some say bittersweet
I say just bitter
because that's how life has treated me
noticing all the negatives
and none of the positives
bringing my own self to ruins

For-seeing what is to come
you'd think that I'd know
what to expect out of life
Yet, I don't see a change
I'm expecting things to
remain the same
Some say time heals all pain
but I say all that's left is pain
sobbing on the inside
and mugging on the out
Why can't I just let the world see
that something inside is destroying me

I trust the Lord
with all my heart
because I know he'll soon
bring me through
But until the day
that my life takes a turn
What will I do ?
