Passing Time in Purgatory
He saw them coming much too late to quietly dismiss them
Those little men crept quietly in devouring grey matter
In increments of ounces while his liver coughed and sputtered
Seeing creatures great or small in Technicolor lighting is
No small wonder to behold as walls crawling with critters
Make for middle of the night missed takes and misgivings
The men in white coats gathered him, secured him, denied him
Rights for the medicine that kept the scorpions and snakes away
But what the hell did those morons know about hallucinations?
