The Dream
Tonight I lie awake,
The dream too real for comfort,
But yet, at the same time,
I feel that pull in my belly,
The flutter of a speeding heart,
The ebb and flow in other places.
The dream started with me,
At a dance club with no name,
I am wearing very little,
But, somehow it seems okay.
At first I just lose myself,
To the music's heavy seductive beat,
I feel my body twist and dip,
Sinuous, tempestuous, lithe,
In the fluorescent lights of the dance floor,
That's when I see you,
The red making flames of your hair,
The...

One Good Reason
Give me one good reason
One good reason to stay
I know we mean more than this
I know there is love there
You made me feel special
Where did that person go
The flowers and romance
Sharing dreams and hope
Now seem lost in the wind
You said you would lift me up
But you have let me down
Stuck in the same grind
Dealing with the same arguments
Where is the intimacy
The hurried whispers in the dark
We used to always touch

Fallen Angel
I see you coming towards me,
I don't know where to turn,
And everywhere you touch me,
My skin just seems to burn.
I try to walk away,
I try to turn around,
But low I look, it seems as if,
My body has been bound.
You close that span between us,
Very easily, without a beat,
My hands move of their own accord,
The same as did my feet.
I now realize I have no control,
Realize the reason, too,
As the fallen angel loved her master,
I've fallen in love with you.
No matter how hard I try,
I cannot turn away,
My heart strings are...
I don't know where to turn,

Radical Honesty
The words tumble out of my mouth
No thought, just blurting out truth
Uncomfortable silence follows
They turn away from me
My honesty making eyebrows raise
Jaws drop, heads shake
Like what I'm saying is
Some dirty little secret to be hushed
Turn away quick, don't acknowledge her
Maybe she'll go away now
I speak my mind and heart
People can't handle the unvarnished truth
I'm always the outcast
Thinking about it after I've blown it again
No one is comfortable around me anymore
Always looking for the word vomit that precedes
People...

Remembered Poetry
I remember the poem....
Hearing it read to me.
The voice so smooth yet halting
My words, but reciprocated.
And my heart...
Stopping, starting, fluttering
My stomach dropping
Filled with butterflies,
My brain getting cloudy,
Vertigo spinning
My breath coming faster...
Things lower hot and wet
Soul aching with recognition
I can remember it to this day.
And I still shiver
Hearing it read to me.

I Just Know
I just....i know
How it would feel.
Like he is
A song in my soul.
A memory from
A time long ago
Like I know his body...
How it would
Feel under my hands...
Without ever
Actually touching it
Yet wait, I have
I remember
The texture of his skin.
He was the first one

Music pumpin'
Blood jumpin'
Music blaring
Dancing to the beat
Sway to the left
Sashay to the right
Gave someone my heart
Forever his to keep
Swirling twirling on the floor
Sex appeal who needs more
Lose yourself inside
Just go with the sound
Give your body its freedom
Alone or in a pair
It may not cure all your ills
It will set your soul free

Wakened By Desire
Head upon my pillows,
I dreamed a dream so real,
I wake in a cold sweat,
Raging desire's what i feel.
A fire coursing through me,
My body like molten gold,
I need a cigarette badly,
If the truth must be told.
I feel the dark presence,
Belonging to the hands of silk,
It flies before I can identify,
But I've beheld before your ilk.
Oh Incubus, you cruel demon,
Preying on my body in the dark,
Waking me from a sound sleep,
Fluttering away as if on wings of a lark.
Leaving my body in a state

Dark Angel's Kiss
Angel of the Night,
Come to me in my dreams,
Let me find sweet heaven,
In your illustrious arms,
Obtain my eternal soul,
Though I be ever cursed,
Let me find utter ecstasy,
In your nectar-like burgundy lips,
Steal me from all desolation,
But restore me to life eternal,
Let the blood of the Ancients,
Flow crimson through my veins,
I need your treasured revelation,
Of deep love immortally,
Let me by your side dance,
Across the silver stars and the crystal oceans,
You and I alone forever,
Be my Dark Angel and let me join you...
