there are tears on my heart
i rubbed my finger, and then my thumb
in circadian breath and rhythm
ridging his craft for the child
worming membranes
as mudlarks ran in the darkness
like the blood in my heart,
it feels like my body is walking underwater,
piercing me where there are tears.
