POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
Poetry in a bipolar world of endless sorrow and exuberant joy not only structures the thinking, but also facilitates moral recovery and sometimes spiritual healing from the insanity of playing our act on the vast Shakespearean stage of our everyday life.
A Tangible Heritage for our Children
We represent 5% of the world’s population
but generate 30% of the world’s garbage
in a lifetime, the average American will personally
throw away 600 times his or her body weight
a legacy of 90, 000 pounds of
trash at the end of their lifetime.
We throw away enough garbage everyday
to fill 63, 000 garbage trucks, which if
lined up end to end for an entire year
would stretch half way to the moon.
half could be recycled, which is enough to fill a
football stadium from top to bottom everyday.
Enough discharged aluminum to rebuild the...

Welcoming the Stranger
For I was hungry and you gave me something to eat
I was thirsty, and you gave me something to drink
I was a stranger, and you invited me in
I needed clothes, and you clothed me
I was sick, and you looked after me
I was in prison, and you came to visit me.
Then the righteous will answer him
'Lord, when did we see you hungry, and feed you
or thirsty, and give you something to drink?
when did we see you a stranger, and invite you in
or needing clothes, and clothe you?
When did we see you sick

9/11 - Fifteen Years After
9/11 is a special day for me since I just got out the WTC when it happened, in horror I eye-witnessed Armageddon as if it was carried forward by the devil himself to completely destroy Lower Manhattan. Please find below my poem in memory of the thousands of victims of the catastrophic incident that changed the world as we knew it forever.
September 9, 2011, unaware of the hazard
merrily on my way to Goldman Sachs

Sunday Mass Prayer
Is our existence like sex
you're somewhere deep down
human condition screwing you
Earth itself taking you for a ride
get on Top of that Mountain
get the Hell of there, away from
desolation, despair and agony.
Voluptuous sex is animal
sometimes you're up
sometimes you're down
for Heaven's sake, let's take turns
have some bestial fun, sip and drink
blue Vintage champagne.
Reproductive sex, larger than life
let the light of your eternal love
warm my cheating heart, and
the Holy Spirit, comforter
be with us, lift me...

From Fine Artist to Con-Artist
1. Shadowy hills under starry nights
paint palettes dark blue and gray
sketch the donkeys and the daffodils
catch the blistering sun and the autumn chills
in amazingly pale colors on the snowy land
look out on a horrendous summer's day
with eyes that know the darkness in my soul
swirling clouds in violet orange, purple haze
sadly reflect in Vincent's eyes, of china blue.
2. Auvers-sur-Oise (France), July 29, 1890
my beloved father Vincent van Gogh
shot himself in the chest
he died two days...

Abel Wants His Stuff Back
1. Dear Cain, The list of stolen ware includes
da Vinci's Mona Lisa and a new Mercedes Benz
precious Victorian antique, furniture & ceramics
drawings of Charles Eyck, and so on and so forth
the detailed inventory, by separate cover, will be
handed over to your defense lawyer.
2. Paid more than €1, 270, 500, 000.00 for the textile
on September 9, 200, right before
stony-hearted brutes like you, destroyed WTC
not really "pocket money," even before inflation
after-taxes net money too.

Robbing Peter to Repay Paul
Pure love - Paul selling his expensive, German Hohner harMonica to earn enough money to buy Monica a 24K gold chain for her beautiful Tiffany watch; and Monica selling her watch so she can afford to buy Paul a Sterling silver case for his musical harMonica.
For the love of money - Peter winning Bill Gates' Microsoft business by telling he just married Yoke Fong (Victoria), only daughter of the great Chinese Emperor; and Victoria marrying Peter because she loves US dollar money, and Peter is Microsoft's only business partner.
Happy Ending - Robin Hood...

No DNA, No NDA
In the Absence of DNA, Don't Sign the NDA
In our zero-sum game world economy
some contracts benefit one party
and expose the counter-party.
Take the Non Disclosure Agreement - the NDA
investors insist on reliable, comprehensive
risk information, allowing responsible decision making.
For the investor, inundated with deal flow
it's time-consuming, adds expenditure to the P&L
surplus legal exposure, once the contract is signed
litigation benefits our cheerful hard working
judiciary profession, and reduces
the rest of the business...

Clearly Confused
A little pain never hurt anyone
I am a deeply superficial person
Jesus kissing justice on Wall Street
modern dancing is so old-fashioned
and faith, unfaithful kept him falsely true
I can resist anything, except temptation
a business that makes nothing but money, is a poor business
always be sincere, even though you don't necessarily mean it
no one goes to that restaurant anymore - always too crowded.
I am always busy doing nothing
as you can see, I'm also crazy of Oxymorons
I know they are utmost confusing literary devices
because two...

Empty Vessels, Deeper Pockets
Beneath the surface, introverts greater than life
Yahweh ordered the Holy scriptures with 4 Canonical Gospels
Ludwig van Beethoven wrote Fifth Avenue - and Eroica
Giuseppe Verdi created Requiem, and Madame Butterfly
Jesus wrote the radical Sermon on the Mountain
Amadeus Mozart wrote Eine kleine Nachtmusik
Auguste Rodin created the Thinker, and the Kiss
William Shakespeare wrote Hamlet: To be or not to be
Frank Sinatra added: Do-be-do-be-do
Washington Roebling built Brooklyn bridge.

Sanity - Is It Altogether Curable?
Plain and simple insanity is certainly curable
imagine a rich smorgasbord of available options:
1. psychoanalysis (extramural, part time)
2. loony bin (intramural, full time)
3. funny farm (idem ditto)
5. private chapel (as the need arises)
6. chlorine bomb (for insane refugees, only upon request)
7. psychiatric ward (but have you got insurance cover)
8. federal prison (for insane serial killers, not you - of course)
9. time's also supposed to cure this common injury, although nobody
