About us dancing in the dark

About your smell, your looks, your sparkling

You‘re the reason
I went to this party
What if

You shining little star
But you
Are so in love
With the girl that broke your heart?

To Be Humble
Humble is the word, it paves the way.
Humble every time, that I look at this race.
I’ver never been so proud and yet so ashamed.
Humble: the price that I pay, every day.
I wanna be God, since I deserve it.
Good at everything, since I’m worth it.
A record made? I may disturb it.
I should be first, or else I’m worthless.
It’s hard to walk this rocky road.
I pay in sweat and tears and hope.
„I shall be better”, is what I told.
I won’t accept, that I’m no gold.
Since middle class is not my standard.

It’s the time of silent cries.
Thinking about suicide.
Pain is when I close my eyes.
Even death wouldn’t be right.
Look at myself and hate the sight.
Man, I hate this fucking life.
I hate the person that is mine.
It’s grown too bad for me this time.
Look at the world then look at me.
Ask yourself, why would I be…?
I shrink, when they scream.
I shrink, when they speak.
Every talk is about me.
I see them all, no one sees me.
Even my parents disbelieve,
That I can feel and live and breathe.

Merry Christmas
A smiling Claus on the card
Makes little stitches in my heart
It holds the secret to some words
That are shallow, but still hurt
I cannot stop, you make me cry
The same card as... every time
You ask me if I was alright -
Oh, wait, a tear dropped on that line
For it is every other season
For no however reason
You compose this shallow poem
This charade of care and worrying
Pretend you've changed in words and rhythm
Gentle asking, no sin admitting
But you know real change from that fall
Would be sending no card at...

Heartbroken frame
Freezing in the rain
Saddest music ever heard
Another beat, vision‘s blurred
Walking lanes and rounds
Hearing voice and sounds
Can’t forget the smile
It will last a while
To the mind is shattered
To the feelings mattered
A dream
Uncertain it‘ll seem
For it is lost in the wind
A sudden end to a begin
Freedom given
Distance earned

Punching bag
I’ve seen a punching bag today
That was left in the rain
It had a hole but not from fist and not from hand
A punching bag yesterday
That was standing in the way
Always in the way, the punching bag is bad
I’ve seen a punching bag, ok?
That really cares bout people’s way
But people just turn round to punch it in the back
I’ve seen a punching bag today
That was beat up, left for decay
A punching bag in the mirror
No one cares
That was left in the rain

They will float away
Like boats
My beautiful flowers against the wind
To blooming fields
And open land
Promise I could never give
I am attached but I am not
If I cried, our bond would rot
And get misty stinking old
But I can’t blame
I’d do the same
Story is from where it’s told
Love‘s like a ticking bomb inside your brain
One crack - it all will change
But if you wait until it burns
You might die in its return
So I stand here and insist
