POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
The One
At first I felt nothing,
When I saw you walk by,
A nervous smile on your face,
Looking helpless and shy
It turned into an attraction,
The day I saw your rosy lips.
When your eyes met mine,
And at the slight curve of your hips
When it developed into a crush,
I decided to make my move fast,
So we started off as friends,
Holding back nothing of the past
We called our affair 'Meaningless'
Though I knew that was far from true,
I don't know what you felt for me,
But I was falling in love with you.

A Soundless Cry
Her fingers dance on the piano
but she's looking at the door
Dreading the moment he walks in,
forcing her to give him more.
The floorboards creak eerily,
The doorknob slowly turns.
At the mere sight of him,
her stomach painfully churns
Tears shield her emotions,
but not the disgust on her face.
She knows he can humiliate her,
In more than a hundred ways
The music stops almost instantly,
Her fingers ache; trembling, sore
Even though no one can save her,
Her hopeful eyes don't leave the door.
