POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
From dust to dust
From dust you were
so to it you shall return,
to be thrust once again,
into this endless cycle of life
and death.
Darkness comes,
silence speaks volumes,
trapped in a great abyss.
Never fear the light is here,
the lotus petal shines in the distance.
You shall return to the earth
among the likes of men.
From dust you were so to it you shall return.
so to it you shall return,
to be thrust once again,
into this endless cycle of life
and death.
Darkness comes,
silence speaks volumes,
trapped in a great abyss.
Never fear the light is here,
the lotus petal shines in the distance.
You shall return to the earth
among the likes of men.
From dust you were so to it you shall return.

Contemplation
Her heart always remained between both doors,
Contemplation, condemnation, paradox!
El malo o el bueno ?
Which halve would ultimately decide ?
Fate interwoven in her braid,
The bane of her existence.
Two sides of the mirror,
one vision, one outcome.
Contemplate!
Is part of herself already gone ?

Soulmates
Sometimes,
I would look at the moon
and wonder,
how much more times I must look upon it,
alone, without you.
I hate our punishment.
Why must we be kept from each other?
What crime did we commit?
Apart from loving each other.
When will he realize?
That no matter the weight of his barriers,
It can never restrict my heart.
He can keep me locked in this cycle,
of death and rebirth.
Although I may not find you in every sequence,
you are present in my heart.

Like Nut and Geb
Caribbean sunlight and wind,
contrast greatly with Cairo's heat.
I remember the days,
when I would walk barefooted
upon her silk like sand
while my sisters danced before me.
Red fabric,
silver amulet inlaid with Lapis Lazuli
and far away Jade
colliding with heavenly tan.
Such a joy to be young!
He would run along the dunes,
singing sweet hymns of Ptah and Amun-Ra
and the most tragic love story of Nut and Geb.
She,
forced to remain locked in the cosmos.
He,
laid below her as her prison changed colour everyday.

Secret Friend
She was used to solitude,
they shared an intimate bond.
A recluse by nature,
the beating of her heart
and the din of silence,
childhood friends.
From the age of six,
she could be found
not abiding with the company of friends
but within the labrinth of her mind.
No better friendship she could find
than the bond between her and her mind.

What Shal We Find ?
What shall we find,
Within the intracacies of her spine?
Earthful vigor,
mournful song,
emotive sonnet.
Tells of a love that may never return.
Fate interwoven within her braid,
the bane of her existence.

Me Escondi En Mis Debilidades
I hide in my weaknesses,
I let the poison pierce my heart,
so that my voice may slumber
far away from what my true nature desires.
Snippets and trinkets,
Of useless emotion and thoughts,
escape from me.
My spirit entwined,
a black rose with thorns.

A Blanket For Her Heart
Silently she sits,
with the darkness of the night.
Knitting a blanket fervorously
in hopes that it will be able to warm her freezing heart.
It held warmth,
once upon a time,
exuding love and trust wherever it could,
without ulterior motive.
That pure expression,
taken for granted,
abused and extracted
until her heart could bear no more.
A block of ice,
that even the strongest ray could not pierce,
her heart has turned into.
She longs for the day,
that it can return to its former state,
but society will not see it so....

Rant On Civilization
Sometimes she felt,
That she had become too old for the Earth,
its redundancy too annoying,
Sangsara*,
too tiring,
she was tired,
she wanted rest.
It hurt her deeply to be a part of the world,
since the last millennium,
man had changed
naught but their fashion,
the clothes they wore,,
the way they talked.
Still reigned the slave masters,
Of yestertime,
their power slavery of the mind.
Men still looked down on each other,
not realizing that they were of one sacred hoop.
Destruction
Hate
Dystopia.

How long will she hide behind the mask of anonymity ?
Her exterior is nothing like her interior,
She works very hard to maintain her shell.
Keep it polished and shiny.
Plastered picture perfect smile,
she speaks lies and coaxes them,
to see only,
her hard plastic coating.
Her cheeks and lips,
may display and utter,
pretty letters and a myriad of colours,
but her cold, blank eyes,
full of envy,
sings a twisted ballad,
so absurd.
Look past the curtain,
and see what's backstage:
introverted emotions,
only visible through the windows of the soul.
Make it known,...

Arguments Within Herself
Things were always greater than they seemed
Their soul had always seen more than their earthly vessel
had been able to contain.
And with each life,
Beginning and ending,
There was always an internal battle to be fought
Between the girl who was,
the girl there is,
and the girl there could be.
The problem never changed,
they all fought to accept the fact that,
faith could not be changed.
He would always come,
their beloved one,
would always be taken
their heart always broken
into tiny little pieces,
they would be forced to find...

death's call
sweet darkness,
come, i bid you hello.
envelope me into blessed nothingness,
for life is for the desolate.
unending pool of darkness unbinding,
i long to reach your depths,
be your's eternally.
sing your dystopian melodies,
stretch your arms out wide,
as i escape my mundane body
and snuggle into your embrace.
lock me in your smart prison,
for i do not want to escape,
this,
this is reality,
this is what was and what will be,
this,
oh this is all there is.
yes, this is all there should be.
oh, sweet darkness,
bind...
come, i bid you hello.
