Sorry My Dear Sister
Sorry My Dear Sister
If only I had not been so small
When I think back in times anew
Consider all in stark review
about those days my Sister
scarred my heart
To recall nights I heard her cry
Whilst I did everything to try
drown out her sense of terror
from my mind
I’d plunge down deep beneath safe sheets
there wait until the ghoul defeats
that child who still worships all
his grimaced mask might say
I wish now I could lock her door
then melt the key to just make sure
those muffling hands...

Cold Days
You called today on one of your ' Official Visits ' to our home.
Long after tempers had been silenced, and passions long spent.
You insisted that I must now leave this special place,
I kissed the lipstick traces on your cup when you had gone.
Throughout your stay I wanted just to hold you,
To tell you that despite all, my hatred was in check.
You told me I must simply now surrender,
I just wanted you to say that I could stay.
But as I closed my door the clock was counting,
Too soon such simple daily actions would be gone.
So I walked into our...

I Am The Sea
My pace deliberately slows as I approach the cliff.
So soon your rumbling music will caress my ears.
And wave after growling wave rolls out to greet me,
Like a reckless, fast approaching storm.
My constant friend, I said I would return.
I taste you now, the salt, the weed, the smell of distant places,
Blown in and carried softly beneath an ever watching moon.
The smell of wet rock in all its infinite sizes and disguises,
Invading and pervading my senses,
As I eagerly drink you in.
Intoxicated now I am transfixed, I cannot, will not turn away....

Mrs In Bed At Nine
When you eventually came home that fateful morning,
I had convinced myself that you would not come back.
Had envisioned a desperate, not so grand finale,
Where you my love, as I had always known you,
Were somewhere lost forever, far away from home.
But finally you did return, as your guilty flush portrayed,
To me with my hands brim full of shattered dreams,
And as you tumbled out words in pointless explanation,
You overlooked that I'd had no doubts,
Until the dreadful truth betrayed you there upon your pouting lips.
Mrs in-bed-at-nine had...

In The Shadows Of Longing
font=Georgia]
Again taken back to the wind and the howling,
Once more I'm returned to the wild.
Alight and alive amid total destruction,
Alone in the place you last smiled.
Where were those dreams and the wishing well visions?
How far to that star spangled land?
How long would my gaze be cast up to the heavens?
Before being warmed by your hand.
When would tired eyes open to unclouded skies?
That not sadness nor pain can invade.
Where happiness flows from a radiant fountain,
Drenching with light from the shade.
So...
