Wonderful You, NOT
There is a feeling
That can’t be ignored
It seems joy gets shut at the door
A lingering pain
Likened to a mass
That’s steady in its growth
It brings both serenity and sadness
There is a life I wish to pursue
Even without wonderful you
Always with a measuring stick
The epitome of selfishness
Those precious creatures
In the wilderness
Show me the true beauty of nature
And survival
In the most vulnerable moments
They give me hope of another day
Through hard times
And times of dismay...

With the male, female or genderless
It’s my hub, my nest
My safe place to communicate

And get in my mind

Kind to me

Fallen Petal
In your garden of evil
I'm nothing more than
a weeping willow
My exotic beauty overshadowed
by your wild flowers on early bloom
The ones you so proudly want to groom
Your garden where orchards stand tall
and rosebuds bloom
Tulips kiss
Pussy willows go wild
Dandelions race
African violets have grace
Daisies smile
And then there's me (in your garden)...
Sleep deprivation
and the pangs of empty promises
guts me all the while
Haunting my soul
And yet, I am an exotic bloom
that...
