Poet Introduction

A MOTH, ME, AND A CUP OF TEA
Be careful moth
Lest you fall into the tea
Is it the sugary aroma that entices you?
Or perhaps you are hooked on caffeine?
Why do you walk around the rim of the cup?
When you could, so easily, fly to the other side?
Are you daft?
Do you have thought?
What inspires or motivates you?
What desires do you have?
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO FLY?
And why are you so attracted to light at night?
You may not share the same elegance
And beauty of sister butterfly
But you are more interesting
OH NO!!!
....AND STUPID!!!
Was it suicide, or did you...
Lest you fall into the tea
Is it the sugary aroma that entices you?
Or perhaps you are hooked on caffeine?
Why do you walk around the rim of the cup?
When you could, so easily, fly to the other side?
Are you daft?
Do you have thought?
What inspires or motivates you?
What desires do you have?
WHAT IS IT LIKE TO FLY?
And why are you so attracted to light at night?
You may not share the same elegance
And beauty of sister butterfly
But you are more interesting
OH NO!!!
....AND STUPID!!!
Was it suicide, or did you...

THE FOUNTAIN
That touch and contact
That is quintessential
To my being
To have and to hold
To love and to cherish
And for this to be reciprocated
What is life without this?
A big void
In an empty space
Loneliness in a crowded room
The bubble bursts
And the heart and soul
Are vaporised and vanquished
Leaving a burning churning emptiness
And a deeply profound pain
The world becomes hollow
Silence is lost in echoes
As I drown in an empty fountain
That is quintessential
To my being
To have and to hold
To love and to cherish
And for this to be reciprocated
What is life without this?
A big void
In an empty space
Loneliness in a crowded room
The bubble bursts
And the heart and soul
Are vaporised and vanquished
Leaving a burning churning emptiness
And a deeply profound pain
The world becomes hollow
Silence is lost in echoes
As I drown in an empty fountain

TREASURE
As gorgeous as the setting sun
As mysterious as the waking dawn
I am enchanted by my beautiful queen
Who always gives me the horn!
We lie together in our bed of dreams
Lost in our desires
As heated passions are acted out
That quell our burning fires
I then eat and lick you with delight
As you writhe around in pleasure
Our juices flow, and then unite
Our nectar is the treasure
As mysterious as the waking dawn
I am enchanted by my beautiful queen
Who always gives me the horn!
We lie together in our bed of dreams
Lost in our desires
As heated passions are acted out
That quell our burning fires
I then eat and lick you with delight
As you writhe around in pleasure
Our juices flow, and then unite
Our nectar is the treasure

THE PILLOW
Her sweet head
Lay upon that pillow
With smiling eyes
And a gorgeous mouth
Tingles ran through me
As I kissed your sweet lips
And tasted the desires
Of your beating heart
Lay upon that pillow
With smiling eyes
And a gorgeous mouth
Tingles ran through me
As I kissed your sweet lips
And tasted the desires
Of your beating heart

ROSES!
If I fart
I have to do so in an enclosed environment
otherwise bees try to pollenate me!

franglais (reams, without the dreams?)
I am happier
With papier
(pardon my French!)

A FISH CALLED ISH!
There once was a fish called Ish
Whom had an extraordinary wish
That one day she would cough
All her scales would fall off
and thus, look more of a dish!

All her scales would fall off
and thus, look more of a dish!

MATRICIDE
For years, and years, and years
Mother Earth has shed her tears
She cried, and cried, and cried
As she was gradually opened wide
And now I fear with dread
That she will soon be dead, be dead, be dead!
Mother Earth has shed her tears
She cried, and cried, and cried
As she was gradually opened wide
And now I fear with dread
That she will soon be dead, be dead, be dead!

A FARMERS ELEGY
The shower spray, eased his aching limbs
After a tiresome day, baling hay
Too tired for a shower song
Despite its cleansing spray
Over the years, the toil seemed harder
As his life, gradually ebbed away
Alone, even in a crowd
Rarely speaking, with little to say
His hopes had vanished, along with his dreams
He'd lost his wife, seemed like yesterday
A lone tear, hidden by the shower spray, swept away
Not long now, his hair had long been grey
"We'll be united again, soon my love"
He tried to ignore the emotional display...

AD INFINITUM
the moon
shines bright
moves all oceans, far and wide
fills our emotions, nothing to hide
the moon
inspires madness
hence lunatic
glittering stars
twinkling magic
when shooting past, wishes are made
the dyes cast, crossed digits parade
wishful thinking
on stars
already dead
black holes
empty space
a hungry void, appetite too large
how to avoid, a merciless mirage
to infinity
and beyond
ad infinitum

TRAGIC MUSHROOMS
A stark reality, of the madness of man
As he puts into action, his nuclear plan
As talks of peace, were totally denied
On that sad day, the planet Earth died
It mattered not, because at the time
The planet was so polluted, it was a greenish grime
This destructive war, was no blessing in disguise
As one read the word Armageddon, mushroomed in the skies
Hoards of doubters, gathered in flocks of woe
As a magnificent display of weaponry, put on a dazzling show
Whilst the spectators blindly, looked on in innocent shame
Generals in...
