ABSENCE
In the dead of the night
Betwixt darkness and light
I lie awake, thinking of you
Silence fills the air
As my heart is laid bare
Thinking of love that is so true
My mind is now clear
Of what I hold dear
Wishing we were both in the same place
The sounds of a wave
As my heart begins to crave
The presence of your beautiful face
But I must await for a while
Before I see your sweet smile
My longing for you is hard
My heart fills with glee
When you say you love me

You can choose your friends for sure
But various relatives, you can't ignore!
The Groom, he is a potato couch
The Bride, she is a slouch
His father, is a terrible grouch
Her mother, who will vouch
That the Bride is a beauty queen
The Groom should be heard not seen
His father one hears, is quite obscene
And his mother is still in quarantine!
Whom believes, her son is Prince Charming
Finds the Bride altogether disarming
