"I'm okay"
So you turn your head away
'Cause really? you're not "okay"
Eyes welled up, they fall silently like rain
I get it. all you want? is to hide the pain
I won't push it, cause I'm in the same place
"get through life!" Forget winning the race
Stay up all night haunted by life
Just so much weight from all this strife
In your fortress, you're forced to think
But to their faces? ha! you never blink
Everything wrong, down inside you push it deep
But wind up every night, crying till you're asleep
I understand...

SPIRITUAL POEM

Broken Wings
Broken wings and a shattered life
full of strife,
overwhelmed by loss, pain and grief,
is now healed with tears of relief.
Deep anger at myself is replaced with repentance
and acceptance.
Forgiveness and release
have brought inner peace.
Gone - guilt and shame
now no blame.
Letting go......
allowing my life to flow.
No blocks to impede or hold me back
as I am 'His' I nothing lack.
I am OK,
no matter what they say.
My soul has journeyed from darkness to light.
Fear of not being good enough no longer my plight.
Gone the...

badly messed up my head
made me believe a lie
that I wanted you
not true.
You used your tricks and games
To bring me guilt and shame
So many years of fears and tears
the trust I had in you
to you I was a free screw
such a friendly guy

The Soldiers Life
The soldiers life is not for all
A soldier must be willing to give his all
He is overworked and underpaid
A truer patriot was never made
Ready to go at any time
Wherever there is trouble or the first sign
His courage and honor are unsurpassed
Ready and willing to complete the task
Travelling to lands both near and far
He stands his post and looks at the stars
Wondering what he might have done
If he had not chosen to carry a gun
Remember the next time that you are driving by
And see the flag flying proud and high
That somewhere out there...

Lonely Hearts
Lonely hearts, they don't cry
They moan in silence, they want to die.
Lonely hearts, they have no fear
And strength to drop a single tear
Lonely hearts, they're cold inside
They have a dreadful pain to hide,
Lonely hearts, they're wrapped by grief
No joy, no prayers, no relief
Lonely hearts, they stop to beat
When hope is weak and starts to split.
Lonely hearts, forgotten dreams...
They fade away with stifled screams
They moan in silence, they want to die.

MISCELLANEOUS POEM

Empty
Her thoughts bob under the surface,
Her lost dreams circling around her in clouds.
Every fake smile, fake laugh,
Only feeds the emptiness inside.
She's lost the ability to cry,
Surrendered it to the numbness,
So she no longer has to feel.
The thick, black cloud overcomes her,
Smothering her till she suffocates.
She gasps, while inside her,
Everything is torn apart,
Her heart ripped to shreds,
And repeatedly stabbed,
With a rusty dagger.
Her soul screams as the Demons rip into it,
Those horrible monsters.
No. They're her...

I am gone.
I'm so far gone you wouldn't even know
So far gone I won't even show.
I'm so far gone and there's no way out
so far gone I just want to shout.
I'm so far gone you could never hear me scream

If I could tell you
When I see you in the morning
it brightens up my day
there are so many thoughts on my mind
so many words I want to say
I want to tell you how I feel
but the words I can not find
they're all mixed up with my thoughts
that are running through my mind
I've been keeping it locked up
because I know there's not a chance
you never look my way
you don't even take a glance
You don't even know you're doing this
toying with my heart
I wish I could just tell you
but I don't know where to start
Should I tell you how much...

Just want to be left alone...
Everyone around me is so loud,
So proud.
They dont even realise what they're doing to me,
They dont even realise how badly I want to flee,
Run away to the one place where I feel free.
I wish I could just escape from this world,
Just for a little bit, until my thoughts stop to whirl.
I wish everybody could just leave me be,
Until i decide I'm ready for them to see,
Who I truly am inside
Until I feel I have nothing left to hide.[/font]

Slow Tears
I look up
as a tear rolls slowly
down my cheek
I think about better days
and wonder if I'll feel that way again you look at me
with those eyes I know so well
always serious, so deep and insightful
as though you're always in control
But not today
not now
Now you look so scared
like for once you don't have the answer
I gaze at you
looking deep into those hazel eyes
Hoping to understand
why you've said those things you did
I wonder for a moment
if this is all a dream
if I shall wake in the morning

The Nightmare
How are you feeling? What's going through your mind?
Is that dream your dreaming hurting deep inside?
You wake up hearing yelling, yelling in your room,
You wonder who it is then you realize it is you,
You thought you were dreaming and you woke up feeling scared,
But the feelings were real and you realized he was in your bed,
You wonder if anyone heard, heard you scream and shout,
But you realize you're alone and no one will help you out,
You're helpless and afraid just a lonely little girl,
You want to be saved but, shhh... we're not supposed to tell.

Lost In A Portrait
Faded images reflected through a mirror,
Constant teardrops staining the unfamiliar.
Remembering an angel I once used to be,
Laughter and joy that was stolen from me.
Replacing memories with regrets and sins,
searching for some peace that lays within.
All hope and faith disappearing out of sight,
leaving me stranded from losing this fight.
Lost in a portrait lays a young innocent girl,
Afraid; alone; simply hiding from the world.
