trapped in this room
i open wide my eyes
as i peer across the room
i laid in my bed
i couldn’t move my legs
but somehow i can walk
i see my body as it lays there
i can not feel a beat
as i place my hand across my heart
where am i? why am i still here?
it's like i am forever trapped in this room
i can hear the cries of my family
as they ponder my death
but it's even a mystery to me
i thought we went to heaven?
i have done no wrong
but i guess my soul is stuck like a song
i can see my wife as she weeps at my side
i can no longer shield her...

admire you
I will admit that i admire you from afar
Even with your past scars
This loveless man has tore you apart
But you are older and wiser now
No man shall ever hold you down
For you have a child who needs you
Even more than ever before
Pick up your heart from the floor
walk towards god, he will show you the light
never again will the darkness haunt you
his love for you can conquer all things on earth
and all things in heaven
you are one of his most beautiful angels
i just want you to know
you are never alone
even when life seems dim,...

let you go
i walked into the room
you laid there motionless in you're bed
the pillow underneath you're head
i held your hand within mine
tears rolled down my eyes
you could only hear my goodbye
i'm sorry i couldn't save you
please say something
i need to hear you speak
the doctor said there is nothing he can do
unless you want to live with feeding tubes
this is not the life envision for you
so i got to pull the plug on you
please don't hate me for this
just remember the good times
like when you told me to put my lips like this
then you...

friend in heaven
my dear friend in heaven
open your eyes
do you see the world now?
you are no longer in pain
everybody will remember your name
you were way too young to leave
but too old to stay
are you a star shining in the night sky?
do you see how weak we are?
but we are just dust blowing in the wind
you will forever be missed my friend
until the day that i see you again in heaven

waiting for the day
i used to think in my mind
that i was never worthy of you
i prayed to god every night for this day
the day that i would hold you in my arms
it was my mission to keep you from harm
although i don't even know your name
one day i'll hold you proudly
as you look into the mirror
and i whisper in your ear, you look just like daddy
i have been waiting my whole life for this one day
when you would enter the world
and be daddy's little girl
hold on to my hand
let me be the dad i never had
theres nothing i have ever wanted as bad...
that i was never worthy of you

alone in the dark
I am alone in the dark
I have no vision in my right eye
I have long grey hair
And the appearance that nobody cares
People laugh and stare
as I walk by trying to make my way home
That’s when I had a place to call my own
Now I’m often on the side of a dark cruel road
Cars drive past me in the rain
Nobody knows my true pains
It’s not that I don’t have money to eat
It’s not even the fact I can barely walk
And if I had a friend or just another voice, I would talk
But what scares me the most
Is that my kids might see me one day ...

we gotta make this work
I push you against the wall
I can hear his voice down the hall
I cant believe your a cheating whore
after all the pain we both endured
Now I'm always going to want more
You have become such a sore
Cheating with another four
my heart has been ripped dropped on the floor
I have never hurt you at all
but now I'm the one who lives alone
My mind wont let me go forward
thinking about you all the time
Telling me that you love me more
Than anybody else in this whole town
Can you hear me now?
you always cover your ears
and just ran so...
