POEMS AND SHORT STORIES
Poet Introduction
I like to rhyme words.
Message in a Bottle
Well look at who
The tides turned in,
A lass as frail as brittle glass.
For years she sailed the oceans made
Of heartache tears, and yet alas
Her voyages continued on,
Despite the sails since
Fallen off.
Adrift she made her way by whim
Of wayward currents,
Dusk to dawn.
With every passing wave
Her ship did break away
From bow to stern,
And nary but a bouy left
To save her life
And nothing learned.
She let it slip
Her grip to let
Be drowned among...
The tides turned in,
A lass as frail as brittle glass.
For years she sailed the oceans made
Of heartache tears, and yet alas
Her voyages continued on,
Despite the sails since
Fallen off.
Adrift she made her way by whim
Of wayward currents,
Dusk to dawn.
With every passing wave

From bow to stern,
And nary but a bouy left
To save her life
And nothing learned.

Yes
Where does artistic style end,
And bad writing being?
I couldn’t tell you 'cause I’m just
To perfect at it.

I couldn’t tell you 'cause I’m just
To perfect at it.

Quarter in the Crack
I don't know what it means
When I see that quarter in the crack,
And I don't mean metaphorically,
Sometimes it's gone but then it's back.
When I see that quarter in the crack,
And I don't mean metaphorically,
Sometimes it's gone but then it's back.

Time Capsule
By the time this poem finds you,
Whoever you may be,
May you ask yourself the question of,
"How well am I doing?”
And should you feel that this was just
Exactly what you needed,
May you pass along this poem to
Another who could need it.

And should you feel that this was just
Exactly what you needed,
May you pass along this poem to

Richness
Whenever there are moments which
I don’t remember living,
That's precious time,
When weighed in gold,
As valuable as nothing
I don’t remember living,
That's precious time,
When weighed in gold,
As valuable as nothing

Loyalty
Immaculate,
You are the best.
Take not for granted
What you are worth,
Or lest
Be littled by the stellar-less,
The lesser “-ists”
Intent on hellish influences
So bent to test your mettle,
Just
Be strong,
And honest,
And loyal and sincere.
You are stronger than the sum
Of all your
Insecurities and fears.
You are the best.
Take not for granted
What you are worth,
Or lest
Be littled by the stellar-less,
The lesser “-ists”
Intent on hellish influences
So bent to test your mettle,
Just
Be strong,
And honest,
And loyal and sincere.
You are stronger than the sum
Of all your
Insecurities and fears.

Diamonds
I can never forget
All the tears that were wept
Since that moment we couldn't define
How much that we meant
To each other and yet,
We continued dividing our lives.
We were bound for much greater
Things but we let our
Egos create such a mess,
Leaving behind
The scene of a crime,
Where we cracked to the pressure and stress.
But given some time
To strengthen and find,
We were diamonds that shined in the wreck,
And look at us now,...
All the tears that were wept
Since that moment we couldn't define
How much that we meant
To each other and yet,
We continued dividing our lives.
We were bound for much greater
Things but we let our
Egos create such a mess,
Leaving behind
The scene of a crime,
Where we cracked to the pressure and stress.
But given some time
To strengthen and find,
We were diamonds that shined in the wreck,
And look at us now,...

Running from Death
I saw a man once sprinting past
As though running for his life.
He was pretty fast,
And I thought if I
Could catch up I could ask,
“Hey man where you running to?
And why you move’n fast?”
But as quickly as I thought,
He leapt,
Crashing headlong into traffic.
And all that I could think of it,
Standing on that sidewalk,
Was, “Lucky me I hadn’t asked,
Or we’d both be dying on that pavement.”
As though running for his life.
He was pretty fast,
And I thought if I
Could catch up I could ask,
“Hey man where you running to?
And why you move’n fast?”
But as quickly as I thought,
He leapt,
Crashing headlong into traffic.
And all that I could think of it,
Standing on that sidewalk,

Or we’d both be dying on that pavement.”

Jug
Poor soul in a jug,
Filled up to the brim;
An ornate display
Of life and love
For family and friends.
But subtract the substance
Or an audience
To serve or show or captivate,
Will sit useless on the sill to sour,
Until it all
evaporates.
Filled up to the brim;
An ornate display
Of life and love
For family and friends.
But subtract the substance
Or an audience
To serve or show or captivate,
Will sit useless on the sill to sour,
Until it all
evaporates.

Cult
Be stoked, the ire of frivolous men
Who gamble people’s lives,
And set ablaze the world to shine
A pyre on the horizon.
Engulfed in flames
Of decadence,
How fiercely that it grows,
And sends upon
The hills and troughs
A snow
Of kindling embers.
Forgotten are the natural order,
Who we are, or what we’ve lost,
But remembered are the acts of horrors,
But only after
They have happened.
Repent
Ye sinless,
For the crimes committed...
Who gamble people’s lives,
And set ablaze the world to shine
A pyre on the horizon.
Engulfed in flames
Of decadence,
How fiercely that it grows,
And sends upon
The hills and troughs
A snow
Of kindling embers.
Forgotten are the natural order,
